Long-term Maintenance And Assembly Requirements For Valves

2022-10-12 Hits:

The valve is the control component in the fluid conveying system, which has the functions of cut-off, adjustment, diversion, preventing countercurrent, stabilizing pressure, diverting or overflowing and relieving pressure, etc. Valves used in fluid control systems range from the simplest globe valves to the most complex types of valves used in automatic control systems. Valves can be used to control air, water, steam, a variety of corrosive media, mud, oil, liquid metal and radioactive media and other types of fluid flow.

So, in the long-term use of the valve process should be how to maintain it?

1. Never use long lever or long wrench wheel when closing or opening valve.

2. Stem threads often friction with the stem nut, should maintain a certain amount of oil in the screw, play a lubricating role to ensure the free movement of the stem, flexible and easy to use. Valve system mechanical transmission, to be timely on the gearbox additives, in order to prevent biting.

3. Long-open valve, sealing surface may be sticky dirt; when closed, the valve can be gently closed, and then open a little, so that the use of high-speed flow of media will be dirt washed away, and then closed.

4. Installed in the outdoor valve, the valve stem with a protective cover to protect it, to prevent rain, snow, dust rust

5. The valve should be cleaned and checked regularly to keep the parts of the valve clean and complete. Do not place heavy objects on the valve, and do not stand on the valve.

6. Before opening the steam valve, must first remove the system of condensate, and then slowly open the valve to avoid soda water impact; when the valve is fully open, the handwheel should be reversed a little.

7. Spare valve should be placed in the indoor dry place, with wax cardboard or plug the interface will be sealed, so as to avoid dirt into.

Valve assembly requirements

Clean parts must be kept sealed for installation. The requirements for the installation process are as follows:

1. The installation workshop must be kept clean, or temporary clean areas, such as newly purchased striped cloth or plastic film, must be built to prevent dust from entering during the installation process.

2. Assembly workers must wear clean cotton work clothes, wearing a cotton hat, hair can not leak, feet wear clean shoes, hand wearing plastic gloves, degreasing.

3. Assembly tools must be degreased and cleaned before assembly to ensure cleanliness.
